Vapor compression evaporators are becoming increasingly popular
due to higher energy costs. The process vapors generated in these
evaporators are compressed with a centrifugal, rotary, or thermo
compressor or high-speed fan. Compression of the process vapor
raises the saturation temperature and this product becomes the
heating medium for the system. High heat transfer coefficients and
minimal entrainment make Rosenblad Design Group's evaporators
especially suitable for this cycle.
Other advantages of RDG's vapor compression evaporators are as
follows.
- All the evaporation takes place at one temperature and
requirements.
- Hot process condensate is available for on-stream washing of
surfaces.
- Any excess heat will be at the highest temperature in the
system.
